Circle "C" Ranch Academy was opened in 1985
by owner, Sally A. Harris. Prior to Circle "C" Ranch Academy, Mrs. Harris
opened the Tampa Junction which offered the only daycare and preschool in the downtown
area. However, the school's limited size led Mrs. Harris to sell and start Circle
"C" Ranch Academy. Since that time Circle "C" Ranch Academy has
established a new concept for preschool and after school care by bringing the
"Country to the City."
Sally graduated from Robinson High School and went on to attend Hillsborough
Community College, the University of South Florida and the University of
Florida. While in Gainesville, she was branch manager for the
Gainesville Florida Campus Federal Credit Union.
After college she went into the field of occupational
specialist or career counselor. This job led to her being state president of the
Florida Vocational Association Board. She has also served as president of the PTSA
at Roosevelt and Lanier Elementary Schools as well as Madison
and Coleman Middle Schools. Her
other school related activities include being chairman of the school improvement team for
Hillsborough County, as well as being a state accreditor for schools through the Florida
State Department of Education (DOE) and accreditor for preschools through the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Sally is presently a State Liaison for NACCP and a recent member of their
Board of Directors.
Sally is a widow and mother of 8
children. She spends her fun time
riding horses and snow skiing and also spends as
much time as possible on her farm in Inverness.

Certification as a director and completed her AA Degree in Early Childhood
Education from Nova University in 2006. She was named Teach of the Year in
